Clinical Associate Professor Russell Hogg

Gynaecological Oncologist, Westmead Hospital

Clinical Associate Professor Russell Hogg is a Gynaecological Oncologist from the Sydney West Area Health Service and is based at Westmead Hospital.  He subspecialised in Gynaecological Oncology after training at the Royal Hospital for Women in Sydney, St Stephans Hospital in Budapest, Hungary and King Edward Memorial Hospital in Perth.

In addition to caring for women with gynaecological cancer, he is a member of the Human Research Ethics Advisory Committee of the Sydney West Area Health Service, the Information Advisory Group of the National Breast and Ovarian Cancer Centre and the Skilled Cancer Professional Group at the Cancer Institute of NSW.  His research interests include the biology of low grade and high grade ovarian cancers with respect to screening and treatment and the treatment of cancers of the uterus with laparoscopic surgery.  He is the Chair of the Clinical Guidelines Review Group for Gynaecological Oncology at the GMCT and is on the Working Group for the Development of Clinical Practice Guidelines for Cancer Australia.
