Everybody Knows Campaign

The Cancer Institute NSW has developed the Everybody Knows Campaign, which presents a series of memorable scenes from existing campaigns.  It shows the range of health consequences caused by smoking, and reinforces that smoking will lead to one of these diseases:

  • Heart disease
  • Gangrene
  • Lung cancer
  • Reduced lung function
  • Chronic bronchitis
  • Stroke
  • Throat cancer
  • Mouth cancer
  • Emphysema
  • Blindness
  • Vascular disease

Importantly the television commercial recognises that smokers know the health consequences of smoking but they still smoke, highlighting the fact that quitting smoking can be hard and that smokers may need help to break their habit once and for all.

Support to quit smoking is available through the NSW Quitline (13 7848).  Alternatively talk to your GP or pharmacist.
