NSW Joint Patient Information and Support Advisory Committee

The NSW Joint Cancer Patient Information and Support Advisory Committee is a joint Committee with the Cancer Council NSW and is chaired by Professor Kate White, Director of the Research Development and Support Unit Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery, University of Sydney.

The partnership with the Cancer Council NSW has built broad stakeholder links and the Group have been active in the development and review of important patient resources.

  • Understanding Complementary Therapies

A Complementary Therapy Question Prompt List has been developed by the Cancer Council NSW on behalf of the Cancer Institute NSW. This new resource is designed to help patients and their families make decisions on appropriate complementary therapies, through targeted questions to their health professional.

  • Understanding Head and Neck Cancers

This booklet was published in 2008, and is cobranded by the Cancer Institute NSW and Cancer Council NSW. NSWOG Head and Neck were active contributing reviewers of Understanding Head and Neck Cancers which influenced the booklet’s final content and size.
