Accommodation and Transport

Patients and their carers may be eligible for support for the cost of accommodation and transport through the Isolated Patients' Travel and Accommodation Scheme. Information can be obtained from NSW Health.

Accommodation Directory

The following accommodation directory has been developed to support patients, carers and their families who require accommodation while receiving cancer treatment.

The directory is available as a publication in PDF format.

For convenience, accommodation services accessible by cancer patients in NSW and the ACT are also listed here - in Sydney, Newcastle, Wollongong, Canberra and Regional centres. In metropolitan areas, the facilities have been listed by region and nearest treatment facility where applicable.

Patients need to contact the service directly to access these facilities.

Further information on accommodation services can be obtained by contacting the social worker at your cancer treatment facility or by contacting the Cancer Helpline on 131120 (Monday - Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm) provided by the Cancer Council NSW.
