A-Z Directory of Support Groups

Support groups play a special role in the psychological adjustment of cancer patients and satisfy many social and emotional needs. The 2005 Cancer Institute NSW Patient Survey showed that 71% of people affected by cancer wanted to receive information about support groups. Despite this, many people stumble upon their existence while others miss out on the support they can provide.

In response, the Cancer Institute NSW has compiled a directory of cancer support groups. The A-Z Directory of Support Groups (5mb) contains contact details and a snapshot of what each support group does throughout NSW.
