Cancer Trials Portfolio (Cancer Clinical Trials)
A key initiative to assist in achieving the aims of the NSW Cancer Trials Network is the development of a portfolio of cancer clinical trials for NSW funded clinical trial units. The purpose of establishing a Network Portfolio is to ensure that NSW Cancer Trials Network resources are utilised for the support of well designed, high priority research studies, which address the strategic needs of NSW patients. The Network Portfolio will provide a balanced selection of Cancer Clinical Trials for the NSW Cancer Trials Network.
A comprehensive Clinical Trial Portfolio will be established through the development of portfolios of trials at the individual Area Health Service Network level. These separate AHS portfolios will be consolidated to create a balanced portfolio of Cancer Clinical Trials for the Network.
The AHS Portfolios and consolidated Network Portfolio of cancer trials are currently being developed. Following the finalisation of these Portfolios, the Clinical Research Regulatory Affairs Officers within each area will provide a central point for information on the trials conducted within each AHS.
