Fully sponsored by the Cancer Institute NSW, this successful forum was held at the Aerial Function Centre, University of Technology Sydney on Sunday 13 November 2011.

It was organised by The Sydney Children's Hospital, Westmead Children's Hospital and Kaleidoscope (The Hunter Children's Health Network), under the direction of Associate Professor Richard Cohn.

The event attracted more than 200 children with cancer and their families, and survivors of childhood cancer. The program featured international keynote speakers Professor John Spinetta whose work has focussed on the psychosocial effects of chronic childhood illness and Dr Patricia Deasy-Spinetta who spoke on education after childhood cancer.

Other sessions included fertility issues, survivors stories and life after cancer, discrimination and insurance issues, and vocational advice.
