This booklet is about the choices you can make and the habits you can change to reduce your chances of developing cancer.

At present, around one in two men and one in three women in NSW will develop cancer at some point during their lifetimes. But research shows that cancer isn't simply fate or bad luck. Scientists estimate that by making changes to the food we eat, the amount of exercise we do and maintaining a healthy weight, about a third of cancers could be prevented.
