Alecia Brooks is the Project Manager for Skin Cancer Prevention at the Cancer Institute NSW.
Alecia was integral in the development of the NSW Skin Cancer Prevention Strategy 2012-15. In addition to running social marketing activities, such as the 'Wes Bonny campaign', she works collaboratively across government and community to ensure programs and infrastructure are in place to better protect and educate people in NSW regarding harmful skin cancer behaviours.
Alecia has been actively involved in a number of recent advances in the skin cancer prevention space, including the recent solaria ban, and the development of messaging for school students and those working outdoors alongside the Department of Education and Communities and WorkCover NSW.
