Our commitment and standards
Where possible, this website conforms to level AA of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 (WCAG).
The WCAG guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities. Conformance with these guidelines will help make the web more user friendly for all people.
By adhering to guidelines for accessible web design, we acknowledge the diversity of communication methods, available technologies and abilities of web-users in the community.
While we strive to adhere to the accepted guidelines, it is not always feasible to do so in all areas of the website due to limitations in available resources, the history of emerging technologies and evolving standards.
Areas where some users may find difficulties include:
- Video, slideshare and audio content (although the majority of videos are hosted by YouTube and feature captioning)
- PDF documents, including historical documents developed over the history of the Institute
- Some complex visual displays of data
- Any content generated by external users of the site, through features such as comments, discussion boards or other social media devices and sources.
Where possible we have provided alternative versions of this content.
We are continuing to seek out solutions that will continue to bring our website up to the same level of overall accessibility.
If you do experience any difficulty in accessing content or functionality within this website, please do not hesitate to contact us via our online feedback form, or on the details below.
