||Provision of two sun protection marquees for patrolling members and for Under 14 members
||Sun protection marquees will enable patrolling surf club members and the Under 14 members, who currently have no shelter designated to their age group, with sufficient shade. Training these younger members to look for shelter and reduce their risk of skin cancer is one of the aims.

||A shade structure at Nundle Swimming Pool will reduce over exposure to ultraviolet radiation (UVR) of swimming patrons. Children and young people are among the majority of the patronage at this facility.

||Ballina has the highest incidence of melanoma in NSW. Five shade tents will be purchased to provide participants and spectators at the Ballina Tennis Club with sufficient shade.

||The construction of 2 shade structures which can be used for outdoor learning and to provide a sheltered outdoor space during breaks will encourage children and adolescents to use sun protection measures.

||The project will be a partnership between Cancer Council NSW and NSW Surf Life Saving Clubs to provide 24 portable shade structures for local surf life saving clubs, providing shade for their members, spectators, officials and the broader community.

||The provision of shade sails in the high demand play spaces at the Tamworth Marsupial Park will help to reduce over exposure to UVR providing a protective environment, particularly for children to play in.
||Surfing NSW provision of shade policy
||A number of shade structures and marquees will be purchased for use by surf schools, boardrider clubs, judging courses, coaches courses, surfer rescue courses and events.
|Ermington Shady Play Project, Halvorsen Park, Ermington
||The project will consist of the development, with the input of the local resident committee, of a shade structure to provide improved shade for children playing in Halvorsen Park.
