How to reduce your risk of melanoma
95% of melanoma and 99% of non-melanoma skin cancers are caused by overexposure to UV radiation from the sun.
All people in NSW are at risk of melanoma.
There are five easy ways to protect yourself from the sun:
- Stay in the shade where possible
- Wear sun protective clothing
- Wear a broad-brimmed hat
- Wear sunglasses
- Wear sunscreen, and reapply it regularly
