Working at Quitline

  • Are you looking for an opportunity to use your counselling skills to provide high quality tobacco and vaping cessation support?

From February 2024, the Cancer Institute NSW will operate the NSW Quitline service, a telephone-based counselling and information service, offering support to people seeking to quit smoking and/or vaping.

Quitline Counsellors are responsible for providing evidence-based assessment, treatment planning, counselling and follow-up services to clients, along with promoting the service through community engagement activities.  

The Quitline Supervisor & Counsellors manage each shift and act as the first point of escalation for clients and Counsellors, along with providing information and counselling to clients.
