Governance and steering committee

Data within the Prostate Cancer Outcomes Registry – NSW (PCOR-NSW) will be identifiable. This information is confidential and will only be accessible by authorised personnel. 

The database is housed and managed in an ISO 27001 certified environment. The ISO 27001 certification incorporates the Privacy Act (1988) and Health Records Act (2001) within its Applicability Statement.

Identifying data will not be released to any third party. Only aggregate data will be published, to ensure the confidentiality of hospitals, clinicians, patients and jurisdictions.

The NSW Population and Health Services Research Ethics Committee (Lead Committee) have provided full ethical approval for the establishment and ongoing operation of this registry in NSW.

Shelley Rushton - Lead Investigator

Shelley Rushton - Lead Investigator

Originally from New Zealand, Shelley Rushton moved to England to study at the Royal Marsden Hospital specialising in oncology nursing with further work in the areas of bone marrow transplants and palliative care.

Shelley has worked at the Cancer Institute NSW since 2004, setting up the eviQ website, and has been in the role of Director Cancer Services and Information since 2015. (Show more)

Dr Malouf is the immediate past president of the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand and the past chair of the Australian and New Zealand Association of Urological Surgeons.

Professor Henry Woo

Henry Woo is a urological surgeon sub-specialised in the management and treatment of prostate cancer and benign prostate disease. He is a Professor of Surgery at the Sydney Adventist Clinical School of the University of Sydney.

Dr Mark Louie-Johnsun

Associate Professor Mark Louie-Johnsun

Associate Professor Mark Louie-Johnsun is a Urological Surgeon qualified under the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) based on the Central Coast, NSW since 2009. He initially graduated with Honours from the University of New South Wales.

He has a subspecialty interest in advanced minimally invasive (keyhole / laparoscopic) surgical techniques particularly for kidney and prostate cancer. (Show more)

Professor Warick Delprado

Prof Delprado is the Director of Histopathology at Douglas Hanly Moir and holds academic appointments at the University of Notre Dame and Macquarie University.

Associate Professor Andrew Kneebone

A/Professor Andrew Kneebone is a senior staff specialist in radiation oncology at the Royal North Shore and Gosford Hospitals as well as Genesis Cancer Care.  He has nearly 20 years of experience as a prostate cancer specialist and is current co-chair of the national Radiation Oncology Genitourinary executive, is on the National Board for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia and has been an author on multiple National guidelines for definitive and post prostatectomy radiotherapy. Dr Tania Moujaber

Dr Tania Moujaber is a Staff Specialist Medical Oncologist at the Crown Princess Mary Cancer Centre, Westmead and Blacktown hospitals and subspecialises in the management of genito-urinary malignancies, including prostate cancer.  She holds an academic appointment with the University of Sydney and is active in clinical and translational research, including in prostate cancer clinical trials. (Show more)

Dr Carolyn Mazariego

Dr Carolyn Mazariego is a cancer survivorship researcher who uses behavioural research and implementation science to understand and improve quality of life and psychosocial aspects of cancer care. Her recent research examined the long-term survivorship outcomes of men with prostate cancer in the largest longitudinal cohort study in Australia, The Prostate Cancer Care and Outcomes Study.
