Services you may be able to use include:

• Cancer Council NSW has Accommodation Services to support patients who travel from regional and remote areas for cancer treatment. They can help with finding affordable accommodation in cities and regional towns.
• Isolated Patients Travel and Accommodation Assistance Scheme (IPTAAS) is a NSW Government scheme. It helps people who have to travel long distances for treatment. You can find out more and apply on their website.
• Cancer Council NSW has volunteers who take people to and from medical appointments. To find out if a there is a service in your area, call the Cancer Council Information and Support line.
• Community transport services support disadvantaged groups in the community. They help people who can’t use normal public transport services. There may be some cost involved.
